林茂,1975年9月生,四川省广安市岳池县人,汉族 ,中国当代油画家 ,中央美术学院院长 ,其主要绘画作品有《三棵树》《垭口》《夕阳》《连绵》《雨过》《汗气》《紫日》《状态》 《赤水古镇》《赤水河畔》《赤水土城》 《故道》《润土》《三秋》等。

林茂于1996年—2000年就读于中央美术学院油画系,毕业作品《状态》获得王嘉廉奖学金优秀毕业创作奖;2000年—2007年,任职于中华人民共和国文化部中外文化交流中心;2005年,参展“中国油画名家作品邀请展”;2007年,组织策划并参加“‘1976—2006乡土现代性到都市乌邦托’四川画派学术回顾展”;2009年7月,参加在中国油画院美术馆举办的“画境•行旅——两岸油画艺术交流展” ,9月,参加在北京中国油画院举办的“当代中国与俄罗斯写实油画展”暨“2009'俄罗斯油画展” ;2011年8月,参加“成都国际双年展”外围展;2014年,先后参加在北京、深圳、重庆等地举办的“ChiFra中法艺术交流展”,12月,参加在北京举办的“云中蜀歌”川人蜀情艺术家双个展 ;2017年—2022年,任中华人民共和国文化和旅游部艺术发展中心副主任;2022年,任中央美术学院副院长;2023年1月,当选为中国人民政治协商会议第十四届全国委员会委员,3月,参与策划并参加在中国美术馆举办的“中国油画名家笔下的延安”作品展,5月,参与策划并参加在北京举办的“大力弘扬延安精神·向着新的奋斗目标出发——中国油画名家笔下的延安”艺术展,6月,任中央美术学院院长。

He has also diligently practiced the works of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi. Sun Guochen, male, born in January 1954. Lu Zihua was born in Yiyang, Hunan in 1958. Executive Director of the National Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee, Researcher of the China Oriental Culture Research Association, Member of the China Couplet Artists Association, Senior Chinese Craft Artist, President of the Huaihua Traditional Chinese Painting Academy, and Vice Chairman of the Huaihua Artists Association from 2005 to 2023.

From 1996 to 2016, CCTV's "Hanmo Xiyun" program featured four special reports on "Lu Zihua's Life in Painting Art". In 2015, he participated in the CCTV "Famous Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Donating Paintings to Ethnic Minority Areas in Xinjiang" public welfare activity and was personally received by national leaders.
